BN – Exact Tailor Made Planning

Business Navigation (BN) presents an integrated system of methodological and software tools aimed at the planning, designing of changes and evaluation of specified objectives. It consists of the concept developed and owned by Inekon Systems, which is capable of integrating both the planning and analytical processes and the core company business. This connection enables company managers and specialists to monitor on a continuous basis the market development and its impacts on the specified targets. Thanks to the automatically proposed solutions, modelling, plan variations and simulations of their impacts these responsible persons are then able flexibly to respond thereto.

Structure

Business Navigation makes it possible to create a comprehensive navigation system thanks to which one may clearly organize and simplify all the crucial processes taking place in a company.

BN may be divided into the parts of the strategic and tactical navigation (see the diagram overleaf). Both of them may mutually collaborate or operate quite independently.

Strategic navigation is focused, especially, on the long-term planning. It avails of three mutually interconnected modules, namely, the Business Plan, Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Projects.
Tactical navigation supports the development of annual plan or its clarifying forecasts. It utilizes four functional areas: the Business Sales Performance, Cost Effectiveness and Business Results Profitability, Business Financial Performance and Resources and Potential of Business Results. The functional areas may be extended if required.

Definition area of the BN model is created by the company managers and owners themselves, with the assistance provided by Inekon Systems specialists. They are just the formerly mentioned, who identify the company vision, mission and strategy on the basis of which the strategic goals and projects are specified. Resulting therefrom are the crucial indicators of sale, production or financing within the framework of a long-term business plan, which provide the base to develop annual tactical plans and budgets, measured at regular intervals and compared with the reality.

The software solution of Business Navigation System (“BNS”) forms an important part of the planning and analytical tools offered. Thanks to it all the modules can be linked with the company information systems, utilized in the company.
BNS is capable of connecting the corporate strategy with tactical planning and result analysis.

  • BNS AB (Advanced Budgeting) provides the technical planning– as a rule with the one-year forecast. Part of the application is formed by the detection of variances, their analysis and proposed solution, as well as management simulation and forecasts.
  • BNS SX (Strategic Extension) provides the strategic navigation. It can link the strategy with all the company crucial activities and thanks to it the management is able to monitor on a continuous basis, how the targets have been met.
  • BNS AA (Advanced Analyser) utilizes the information from the data warehous progressively to evaluate the achieved results. It enables the progress from the consolidated management data up to detailed values.
