Optimization of navigation processes (“OP”) rectifies the deficiencies identified during the navigation audit by means of Inekon Systems BNS – NA service or otherwise. It has immediate impacts on effectiveness and thus the business success and client’s increased competitiveness.

Characteristics

Rectification of certain methodological and information weaknesses and bottlenecks existing in the practise of company management takes place within mutual co-operation of Inekon Systems and client’s specialists. Optimization of navigation processes is based on a uniform methodological structure called “branch models”, which contain the generalized Inekon Systems experiences obtained from similar cases. At present four types of them are available in relation to companies distinguished by their production nature: goods with fast return, production of automotive parts, contracts of complete (turnkey) projects and tailor-made production, series production.

Structure

Optimization of navigation processes affects at all times three procession dimensions of the top management control:

1. Controlling cycles

  • Tactical OP – lasts usually over a year
  • Strategic OP – a several-year perspective has to be considered

2. Procession

  • Planning of the company future begins upon assembly of the basic plan, continues throughout its continuous updating, forecasting, and ends by the management modelling and simulation.
  • Evaluation of the achieved reality then includes the monitoring of result, analysis and interpretation of variations between the plan and the reality. A part thereof are also the proposals for remedial measures.

3. Operational areas

  • Monitored are the sales effectiveness, output costs and profitability, financial performance, resources and potentials.

Data model. Specialists suggest an optimization of the system of performance key indicators, separately for the tactical and strategic management cycles. The purpose is to implement multidimensional and hierarchical views of the plan and reality values, respectively, which will enable the subsequent more effective planning.

Procession model. The objective is to improve and optimize the planning and analytical methods utilized for the company management with the aid of panel architecture. Each of the applied methods of the management control is represented there by means of the particular navigation panel. They are subsequently composed within dynamic wholes enabling flexible and more transparent modelling of management processes. Options of gradual modifications of adjustments continue at the same time to be maintained.

Competency and organizational model.

It links up with the data and procession model. It defines the roles of participants of the planning processes and analyses and re-evaluates their parameters, such as the data of completion, responsibility for fulfilment, contents, etc., with possible impacts on the motivation system.
